I can’t believe it’s already October, it’s one of my favorite months so I wont complain too much but, time is flying by. I love October, the cooler fall weather sets in, the foliage peaks, it’s all about scarves, boots and jackets, D’s birthday and of course Halloween.
I’m a total baby when it comes to scary movies but I actually enjoy reading tense, scary books. I love books that almost scared to read ahead but at the same time you have to keep reading, you need to know. One of the first books that gave me that feeling was Stephen King’s Misery. I remember reading this book through the night because I was too scared for Paul, the protagonist, to sleep. It was a white knuckle read and I’ve had a fear of severed appendages ever since.
Every Wednesday in October, leading up to Halloween (which is technically a Thursday but roll with me here) I’ll share a book that has kept me up at night and made me think twice about what goes bump in the night. I recommend you read these picks with the lights and your footy pajamas on.
what books or movies have kept you up at night?
